Who we are

Lora Marceau

ARTISTIC DIRECTOR AND PROPRIETOR

What a ride! After 19 years in the business, each project offers a new outlet to live in a creative world, allowing me to be unique and inventive while providing the special gift of comfort and beauty to everyone who calls on me. I am truly blessed to be invited into this process with you! It’s essential for you to know me and my team, as this comfort and knowledge will guide you through the experience.

My creative journey began in retail chains, where I was responsible for window displays. This led to a remarkable opportunity at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA), where I further honed my artistic instincts. Along the way, I also ventured onto the stage as a ballroom dancer; one of my favorite memories being the Superbowl halftime show.

Not content with just those experiences, I chose to change the world by joining the Peace Corps for a transformative stint in Ethiopia. When I returned, I started selling high end furniture at Dayton’s Home Store. My love to be creative in a space flourished and I enrolled back in to school to get my interior design degree.

Fast forward and I am grounded in beautiful Wayzata, MN, where I enjoy the pace of my own business alongside my supportive realtor husband and our three amazing children.

Lora Marceau, Designer and Owner

I eagerly anticipate each new project, excited to witness how the transformation of a home or building, through a remodel or new construction, has the remarkable ability to evoke profound emotions in both the client and those who contribute to the project.

Witnessing the journey from concept to completion reveals the depth of connection clients form with their environments. The anticipation of entering a newly designed space, infused with personal touches, often brings feelings of joy, comfort, and security. These emotions resonate beyond mere aesthetics; they encapsulate the dreams and aspirations that drive the project's inception.

Every detail, whether it be the warmth of a well-crafted living room or the serenity of a thoughtfully designed kitchen, can rekindle memories and create new ones.

The involvement of skilled professionals in this journey fosters a collaborative atmosphere, further enhancing the emotional impact of the project. As designers, architects, and builders work in tandem, their collective vision not only shapes the physical structure but also contributes to an experience of fulfillment and pride among all parties involved.

Ultimately, the influence of a remodeled or newly built space extends far beyond its walls. It becomes a backdrop for life’s most cherished moments, a haven for relaxation, and a testament to the importance of home. The resulting emotions of gratitude and appreciation weave a rich tapestry, celebrating the intersection of creativity, craftsmanship, and human connection that lies at the heart of every project. Let’s meet!

Stacy’s passion to read and travel make her a wealth of inspiration and talent as the Marceau Marketing/Publicity Manager. When not working hard to better promote Marceau Interiors, she is off balancing two teenage girls and an occasional tennis match. When the evening comes with nothing on the calendar she heads to the lake to enjoy a sunset cruise, a book and a glass of wine.

This mind-reader and fort-holder-downer is a Maine native whose love of design blossomed while working in her grandfather’s art gallery. She came to Marceau Interiors after partnering to design her home…and it was a match made in heaven, because now she works here! She lives with her husband, twin daughters, and playful pups in a new home (designed by us!) and keeps her heart and mind healthy by serving her community and church.

  • Evelyn Truex, Junior Designer

If she’s not at work, she’s spending time with her daughter Taylor and enjoying every bit of being a new mother.  She is a social butterfly and loves being around people and loves experiencing new things and activities. If she could travel anywhere and everywhere she would!
